Remote control#
The Remote (v6) page on the dashboard lets you control every machine running Viewer right in your browser: start, stop, add and edit sessions, and change machine settings without going to each machine.
Remote v6#
Go to https://dash.9hits.com/remote-v6 (menu 9Hits App > Remote (v6)). You do not need to
register machines or open ports: any machine that runs Viewer with your access key and is online
shows up in the list automatically.
Each machine has one row with Note, Version, IP and Status: Running (some sessions are
running), Idle (the app is open but no session is running) or Offline. The search box filters by
note, IP and version.
Click the arrow at the start of a row to connect to the machine; you can act on it only when its
status is Connected. Below the row is a session table like the one in the app (see
the columns), with an extra Act column to start or stop, edit and delete each
session.
Actions#
Check the sessions you want, then use the toolbar:
| Button | What it does |
|---|---|
Start / Stop |
Start or stop the selected sessions |
Settings |
Open Machine settings for the whole machine |
Add |
Add a session |
Import sessions |
Import proxies in bulk, one session per line |
Export selected sessions |
Copy the selected sessions to the clipboard, as Proxy list or Full sessions (JSON) |
Delete |
Delete the selected sessions |
Clear all |
Delete every session on the machine |
Exit |
Quit the app on the machine completely |
Clear all and Exit cannot be undone
Clear all wipes every session on the machine. After Exit, the dashboard cannot start the app
again: you have to reopen it on that machine, unless the machine reopens the app by itself
(installed with the Linux script or running in Docker).
The Add session and Edit session forms contain Note and the proxy type, filled in the same way
as the proxy field in the app. Import sessions accepts the same format as the
import box in the app, including JSON from Full sessions (JSON), so you can copy
a configuration to another machine.
Machine settings contains Machine note (the machine name), Hide browser (hide the browser
window), Allow popups, Allow adult, Allow crypto mining (accept campaigns with popups, adult
content, crypto mining), Cache limit (MB) and Auto start (start every session when the app opens).
When a command does not reach the machine#
Commands only reach machines that are running Viewer and are online; a command sent while a machine
is offline is not kept. If the dashboard shows No response from machine (timed out), try again; if
the error keeps happening with one machine, check that machine's network.
Name your machines#
The list is sorted by note, and machines without a note show (no note). Set the note in the
Machine note field in Viewer's Settings, with the --note option when
installing on Linux or Docker, or remotely through Machine settings. Names
like vps-de-01 or home-pc make it easy to filter by prefix.
